Virtuix, a leading provider of virtual reality (VR) gaming technology solutions, has launched an omnidirectional treadmill called the Omni One. The device is designed to allow gamers to walk or run in any direction through video games and other virtual environments. The Omni One can fit inside a user’s home, is easy to fold or move, and weighs around 150 pounds. It accommodates users from 4 feet, 4 inches to 6 feet, 4 inches tall and up to 250 pounds. In addition, it allows unrestricted full-body movements such as stooping, kneeling, and jumping, while safety features prevent users from falling or hitting walls or other people. The introductory price for the Omni One is $2,595 USD plus shipping, and the VR treadmill device can also be purchased for as little as $65/month on a paid plan. The Omni One price includes both the treadmill and the Pico Neo 3 Pro headphones. Virtuix is extending the beta program through the end of 2023. To date, Virtuix has shipped more than $16 million worth of product, including more than 4,000 Omni Pro systems in 45 countries and more than 70 Omni Arena systems to US entertainment venues like Dave & Buster’s.
