How Snap is making AR shopping accessible for businesses of all sizes

Snap Inc., the company behind Snapchat and Snap Spectacles, has introduced a new enterprise solution that enables companies to easily incorporate Snap’s augmented reality (AR) technology into their platforms. AR Enterprise Services (ARES) offers a suite of advanced tools that can enhance the customer’s shopping experience. The new Shopping Suite is the first offering of ARES and includes several powerful technologies, such as 3D Viewer, AR Try-On, and Fit Finder. Retailers can integrate these features directly into their website or app to create a seamless AR shopping experience.

The Shopping Suite also comes with several business tools to manage assets, integrations, and measure performance analytics. Further, the suite offers dedicated services and support for AR asset creation, which is optimized for store performance and the final user.

Several companies including Gobi Cashmere, Goodr, and Princess Polly have partnered with ARES, with the service becoming available in 2023 to suppliers of accessories, apparel, and footwear.

“Over the next decade, we are excited to bring our world-class AR technology to business websites and apps, and even to their physical locations. We look forward to making the shopping experience more enjoyable for consumers and transforming businesses around the world with AR Enterprise Services,” stated Jill Popelka, Snap Inc’s director of enterprise AR services.
