Kill Your Arachnophobia With “Kill It With Fire VR”

“Kill It With Fire VR” is a dream-come-true game for anyone living with arachnophobia. The immersive spider-killing game, which was initially released for flat screen devices, is now available on Quest 2 and PC VR. In this indie game, players take control of increasingly crazed and powerful weapons to destroy the creepy crawlies lurking in the environment. While playing, you will discover that the game offers a perfect nightmare experience that can even scare someone who isn’t usually scared of spiders. The spiders are everywhere, hiding under ornaments, behind furniture, and in drawers, ready to jump out at you at any moment. The uncomfortable and haunting string melodies will send shivers down your spine each time you discover a spider. The incredible pacing and off-kilter string melodies generate goosebumps, creating a thrilling atmosphere that will push you forward.

Dreamlike Atmosphere

One of the exciting things about “Kill It With Fire VR” is the dreamlike atmosphere that it creates. The environment, which is generated from the accumulation and discovery of each spider, is fascinating. The game’s design aims to create an all-encompassing spider nightmare. While there are settings to turn off or adjust some of the spidery effects, they are part of the game’s design, and using them would almost defeat the purpose of playing. Someone who is arachnophobic will undoubtedly find the game unpleasant, but that, in a way, is a compliment to the game’s design.

Inconsistent Interactions

Players can pick up a variety of objects to hit the spiders, but the interactions are often unreliable and choppy. The physics and item interactions can be inconsistent at times, with objects flying around the room instead of squashing spiders, which can be a bit frustrating. Hopefully, this will improve as the levels progress, particularly as players unlock more fire-based and less physical weapons. Despite this, the game’s environment is impressive, and it helps to create an immersive experience.

The Release

“Kill It With Fire VR” is now available for Quest 2, Quest Pro, and PC VR via Steam. PlayStation VR and PlayStation VR 2 users can expect a release later this year. The game is ideal for anyone looking to experience an immersive, spider-killing adventure that leaves them either terrified or thrilled.

Kill It With Fire VR Game Launching on April 13th for Quest 2 and PC VR (Updated)

The popular game, Spider Hunter Kill It With Fire, is all set to make its way to VR headsets later this year. Development of the VR release for Casey Donnellan, who also developed the flat screen release, is being led by the solo developer.

The VR version is scheduled to launch on Quest 2, SteamVR, and both the original PSVR and PSVR 2 later this year. There is also a flatscreen version that can be checked out by viewing the previously-mentioned trailer.

The game involves going to war with house spiders, where you smash rooms and create new tools from household items to eliminate the arachnid threat once and for all.

Long-legged stalkers can hide anywhere and everywhere. However, you can increase your odds of success by collecting an arsenal of weapons, utilizing state-of-the-art spider-tracking technology and mastering the new VRACHNID(™) gloves to better detect these eight-legged creatures. Keep an eye on the tracker and listen for the telltale chirps that signal a spider, spiderling, or other creepy-crawly.

Use stationary and frying pans to smash these spiders, take out entire armies of them with ninja weapons, or obliterate them with shotguns and TNT if necessary. If you still feel spider legs dragging across your skin, bring out your flamethrower and incinerate them all.

Publishing duties for Kill It With Fire VR will be undertaken by tinyBuild. Speaking about the game, developer Casey Donnellan stated, “Fans have been asking for a VR version of Kill It With Fire since the first video of the original gameplay. I’m very happy that we can finally put hideous spiders on a screen less than an inch from the eyes of the players!”

Update: It has been confirmed that Kill It With Fire VR will launch on April 13th for Quest 2 and PC VR. The original PSVR and PSVR 2 release will come later in the year. The article was first published on February 24th and a new trailer is available below.

Quality is Key to VR Success, According to Meta

Many of the top-performing virtual reality (VR) games on Meta Quest achieved their success through emphasis on creative concepts and unique gameplay. More than forty Quest games have grossed over $10 million each. At the Game Developers Conference, Meta emphasized these statistics as evidence of the strength of the Meta Quest ecosystem. Oculus Publishing currently provides funding for 150 VR games, having already invested over $1.5 billion.

Speaking at the conference, Chris Pruett, director of content for third-party games, noted that there is a correlation between quality and sales for VR games. This statement was echoed by Meta, and I believe they are both right in their assessment.

Does Quality Lead to Success on the Quest 2?

Some people might be skeptical of such a claim, especially since simple titles like Gorilla Tag or Among Us have sold so well. However, a significant number of successful VR games became hits through the use of creative and engaging concepts that took advantage of the unique features of the VR medium.

The zombie survival RPG game The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is an excellent example of this. The game achieved sales of over $50 million in October 2022 by taking advantage of two factors that made the story that much more immersive in VR. Firstly, life-size “walkers” commanded more respect in VR, and secondly, it was more fun to fight them in physics-based combat and dismember them with high-impact weapons. The action-packed game also used motion control for tasks such as disassembling and cleaning firearms, adding another layer of immersion for players.

Resident Evil as a VR Sales Driver

The VR remake of Resident Evil 4 by Armature Studios is also among the top-performing VR games. It surpassed one million in sales within 24 hours of release and is the fastest-selling VR game in the history of the Meta Quest 1 and 2. The game features more precise weapon handling and an adjusted inventory, creating a new gaming experience for players.

Meta must be careful not to lose too many classic players to Sony, as players have higher expectations for visuals than even major projects like Assassin’s Creed Nexus can achieve on Quest 2’s mobile chip. Even so, there is still untapped graphical potential in Quest 2, as VR games like Red Matter 2 have shown.

Mass Market or Creativity?

It would be great if major productions like Ubisoft pushed VR further into the mass market. Such successes could also make the medium less risky for smaller studios seeking to develop new and innovative VR gaming concepts. However, it is important to note that VR gaming should not fall back on typical AAA titles or nostalgia-inducing games that already dominate PC and console gaming.

Even detractors of simple games like Beat Saber (#1 bestseller), Among Us VR (#3), or Gorilla Tag should give these titles credit for becoming surprise hits through unique and creative gameplay mechanics. The willingness to experiment still present in VR games reminds me pleasantly of the good old days of the C64 and Amiga, where concepts weren’t forced into fixed genres and playstyles.

Razer Quest 2 Accessories: Head Strap and Face Interface Review

Razer, the tech company known for providing gamer-focused products and services, has entered the VR market with its adjustable head strap and face interface accessories designed for the Meta Quest 2. In this hands-on review of Razer Quest 2 accessories, we take a closer look at these products.

Razer announced its plan to launch a product line of VR accessories in collaboration with medical equipment company ResMed earlier this year at CES 2023. The company’s head strap and facial interface are specifically designed for the Quest 2 and aim to provide increased comfort and longer gaming sessions.

Razer Adjustable Head Strap Review for Quest 2

The nylon material of the head strap feels high-quality, and the stitching appears durable. It’s easy to install, and adjusting it is a breeze. You can put it on by pulling it over your head like a baseball cap, and there are three Velcro tabs used to adjust the fit.

The strap provides good overall support and is comfortable despite its slim design with little thick padding. However, it’s less stable with up and down movement compared to head straps made of stiff plastic, such as the Official Elite Strap. The Razer head strap is a portable alternative as it adds minimal bulk to the headset.

Razer Face Interface Review for Quest 2

The Razer facial interface is made of thin, contoured, and textured membranes for comfort and reduced facial pressure. The silicone material is incredibly soft and molds well to your face’s contours. The foam padding is less dense than standard interfaces, but the product is still comfortable, showing excellent engineering. The interface’s design allows for a boost in field of vision by bringing the eyes closer to the lenses while featuring hypoallergenic, medical-grade materials to reduce skin irritation.

The product has vents located around it to increase airflow, prevent sweating and lens fogging, and a nose piece to block external light. It’s easy to clean and maintain because of its smooth, crack-free surface, but it becomes sticky during hot, sweaty gaming sessions, causing it to stick to your skin. Dust and fibers also clog it easily. The interface effectively blocks external light while fitting perfectly with the Quest 2.

The Razer head strap system and facial interface are now available for purchase in the US for $69.99 each. The company plans to sell these accessories in other select regions and release more details in future announcements.

Medieval Dynasty: Chickens Guide

Chickens in Medieval Dynasty seem to be the most widespread domestic animals in the game. They are the first animal to be unlocked in the playthrough. Knowing how to maintain chickens correctly is essential both for beginners and experienced players.

This guide will explain everything about chickens in Medieval Dynasty. Below is some information on obtaining chickens, maintaining them, and the possible profit from the animals. Also, below is some information on how much food these animals require. Let’s begin!

How To Get Chickens In Medieval Dynasty

Medieval Dynasty Chickens Guide (1)

First, build a Henhouse – the first animal building in the farming tree. The animal husbandry building is unlocked after reaching 50 Farming Tech Points. The construction costs very little. So, there won’t be any problems even at the beginning game’s stages. Still, it is necessary to get Chickens in Medieval Dynasty.

With a Henhouse inside the village, head to Borowo or Rolnica, two villages where Chickens can be bought. Juvenile Chicken costs 375 coins, and Mature Chicken costs 750 coins. Still, consider that the price might vary depending on the skills. The highest price for Juvenile Chicken is 562.5 coins, while the Mature Chicken can cost up to 1,125 coins.

There is also an option to sell Chickens. Still, the selling price will be significantly decreased, so avoiding selling chickens in Medieval Dynasty would be best.

Everything To Know About Chickens In Medieval Dynasty

Medieval Dynasty Chickens Guide (2)

Once finished with getting chickens in Medieval Dynasty, let’s continue with all the necessary things about these animals. They can give a better understanding of the game and help with managing.

A chicken is a fast-growing animal. It becomes mature when it reaches the age of two seasons, equal to six months. The average lifespan for a chicken is 25 seasons, while the minimal lifespan is 20. Even though there is no upper limit for the chicken’s lifespan, don’t expect it to grow more than six years.

A chicken is also a low-consume animal. The adult chicken consumes only 0.3126 feed per day, while the juvenile consumes 0.156 meal. So, these animals are inexpensive, even for those who just started playing.

Chickens also produce valuable resources. A single Hen can produce 0,5 eggs and 2,5 feathers working at full power. More feathers and meat can be obtained by hunting and skinning. The adult rooster or hen can give four pieces of meat, while the chick brings only one.

That’s it with the chickens guide in Medieval Dynasty. Having a couple of adult chickens is necessary to progress in the game. So, this guide will come in handy for both beginners and professional players.

Medieval Dynasty is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

ESL Pro League Season 17 Playoffs

They might have similar names and stylizing, but there’s little else that’s similar between FaZe Clan and forZe going into this ESL Pro League Season 17 Quarterfinal

The constantly shifting landscape of the CSGO scene offers up many surprises from time to time, and this has to be one of the biggest so far this year. It’s not every day that a top team moves on from the Round of 12 to the Quarterfinal of a big-ticket tournament to find a tier 2 team already waiting for them there, but such has been the form of forZe. This is where their real test begins, though, and if you’re planning to do some CSGO betting or just want to know more about the teams involved, this preview is for you.

forZe

Following their unexpected and epic dominance of Group D, forZe have been waiting on the wings for the Quarterfinals to begin. Unlike some other teams, their journey was far from easy as they fought and beat the likes of Natus Vincere, Team Spirit and ENCE enroute to their direct berth. The team seems to have shaped up nicely, but no team truly proves itself until it plays the knockout stage of the biggest LAN tournaments, and this will be forZe’s first of the kind. They have shown they have the talent, but now it’s time for them to show their nerve.

Player To Watch

We’ve been backing shalfey for a while, but this time we’ll change things up and go with r3salt, who has also been superb.

FaZe Clan

After thrashing a formidable-looking FURIA, FaZe looks determined to finally take home the Intel Grand Slam they’ve been hunting for for so long. They had a good run in the Group Stage before falling to Vitality, but seems to have worked on their issues and are the overwhelming favorites to win this matchup. However, that same on-paper advantage could become counterproductive if it translates into pressure should they fall behind, so they’ll have to be on their toes.

Player to Watch

Considering his return to form, we’re going with rain as the player to watch on FaZe for this match.

ESL Pro League Season 17 Playoffs: forZe vs FaZe Clan Predictions

The Russian side is a great up and coming team, but FaZe are looking way above their pay grade. We call a 2-0 for the superteam.

Maps

The first two maps should be a basic mix of Mirage and Inferno, while the third will likely be Ancient.

Score

Map 1: FaZe to win with forZe <12.

Map 2: FaZe to win with forZe <10.

Top Fragger

Once again, we’ll go with rain for this one given the Norwegian’s tendency to pop off.

ESL Pro League Season 17 Playoffs: forZe vs FaZe Clan Match Links

ESL’s Twitch and YouTube channels are both slated to cover the match, with the broadcast set to begin at 10:30 ET/09:30 CST/07:30 PT.
